MTB FAQ
What is a Mountain Bike and what is its main purpose?
A mountain bike (MTB) is built for off-road terrain. But not all MTBs are the same. We focus on the types closest to BMX: tricks, jumps, and action.
Which MTB bikes do we offer?
As a BMX-only shop, our focus is clearly on Dirt Jump, Slopestyle, Street, and Pumptrack Bikes. These bikes combine the agility of a BMX with the stability of mountain bikes and are perfect for tricks, jumps, and playful riding. Classic XC, Trail, or Downhill bikes are only offered in very limited quantities.
What MTB disciplines exist?
Mountain bikes can be clearly categorized by their intended use. The following overview helps you find the right category for you.
| Discipline | Use & Character | Typical Features |
|---|---|---|
| Dirt / Slopestyle / Street | Tricks, jumps, pumptracks (our main focus!) | Short geometry, hardtail, 26 inch, singlespeed |
| Enduro / Freeride | Bike park & technical descents | 160–180 mm travel, very sturdy frames |
| Trail / All-Mountain | All-rounder for forest & holiday rides | 130–150 mm travel, gears |
| Downhill | Pure descent (lift/shuttle) | 200 mm travel, dual crown fork |
