Wheel Sets FAQ
What is a wheel set and what is its main purpose?
Here you get a front wheel and a rear wheel in one package. The purpose is convenience and style: You don't have to check if rim colors or hub models match. In addition, sets are often cheaper than the sum of the individual parts.
What types are there?
The sets differ primarily in rear wheel technology:
- Cassette Set
- Classic set with loud click sound and direct engagement.
- Freecoaster Set
- For street riders who want to ride fakie. Usually contains an identical front wheel to the cassette set, but a freecoaster rear hub.
What materials are used?
Identical to the individual wheels:
- Aluminum Rims
- Mostly Double-Wall for stability.
- Steel Spokes & Axles
- For the necessary hardness.
